FCCU Recognizes International Credit Union Day

JEFFERSON COUNTY, WI – Fort Community Credit Union, along with credit unions across the globe, will be recognizing International Credit Union Day® on Thursday, October 15th. Set annually for the third Thursday of October, ICU Day is meant to draw attention to the global credit union movement. Organized by the Credit Union National Association, the 2020 theme is, “Inspiring hope for a global community.” This is meant to reflect how credit unions contribute to a brighter future by providing financial empowerment to people all over the world through financial services, education and support.
FCCU is among several Wisconsin credit unions who have supported members and community organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. As of June 30, 2020, credit unions had collectively provided financial assistance related to COVID-19 in the amount of $2,388,697,952. This came in ways of business loan extensions, PPP & SBA loans, mortgage extensions, consumer loan extensions, fees waived, and low-interest emergency loans.
